Enhancing lives through the therapeutic power of the horse since 1993.
Equi-Ed offers year-round programming in riding and horsemanship. Each is specially designed to enhance the therapeutic, social and educational benefits equine assisted activities has to offer individuals. Students of all ages and backgrounds participate in riding and horsemanship as well as competition opportunities if they are so inclined.
Therapeutic riding helps students become healthier as it increases balance, muscle control and strength. Horseback riding gently and rhythmically moves the human body in a manner similar to the human walking gait thereby providing the upper and lower body sensation and mental image of walking. It stimulates passive exercise, which increases cardiovascular, muscular and respiratory strength.
Equi-Ed offers to students with and without disabilities who participate in therapeutic riding, the opportunity to experience physical, emotional, and mental benefits. Read more about becoming a student.
All participants, volunteers and staff are required to be fully immunized for COVID. At this time mask wearing is optional. Other Sonoma County COVID protocols are followed.

Help us purchase this tractor!
Tractors are red, manure is brown.
Help us get the traction to move it around!
Equi-Ed really needs a tractor for manure management, as well as many other barn chores and projects.
Be our valentine and help us turn that traction into a tractor.
Any donation for the month of February will go towards our capital campaign of $10,000 for a much needed tractor.
Equi-Ed-is deeply saddened by the passing of Bill Cresta whose ranch we have called home for the past 9 years. Bill requested any donations in his memory be made to Equi-Ed-to continue the life enhancing work we do with horses and individuals with disabilities. We will miss our dear friend and ardent supporter. Thank- you.
