Barn Academy Overview

Ages & Abilities

Ages 5+
Campers with & without disabilities

At Equi-Ed, we believe in the power of inclusion and welcome students of all abilities. We strive to create a nurturing and accessible environment where every individual is empowered to thrive, learn, and succeed. We are committed to providing personalized support to ensure that each participant can fully engage in all aspects of our program. We celebrate diversity and embrace the unique strengths and abilities that each student brings to the barn.

We encourage parents to share their child's Individualized Education Plan (IEP) with us to ensure we provide the necessary support for a successful experience.

Please note that for the safety of all participants, admission to the barn academy may not be suitable for students with significantly challenging behaviors, such as elopement or physical aggression. We prioritize the well-being of all our campers and aim to provide a safe and enriching environment for everyone.

Activities

Animal Encounters

Campers have the opportunity to interact with a variety of friendly animals, including goats, ponies, and horses, in a safe and welcoming environment. Through hands-on care, play, and daily activities, campers will connect with our incredible animals while learning valuable skills in animal care, responsibility, and empathy. Whether it's feeding, grooming, or simply enjoying time with our furry friends, each day offers a new and exciting experience for every camper.

Arts & Crafts

Arts and Crafts sessions allow campers to  unleash their creativity by crafting beautiful creations inspired by nature to proudly display at home. From vibrant tie-dye to charming collages and dream catchers, there's a world of artistic possibilities to explore. With activities like card-making, friendship bracelet crafting, and lanyard weaving, every camper can unleash their inner artist and take home treasured keepsakes crafted with love and imagination.

Horse Care

We offer a unique opportunity to learn all about horse care while developing a special bond with our equine partners. Campers will discover how to approach a horse safely, groom them with care, and learn the art of becoming a true Horse Whisperer. Our hands-on experience provides valuable lessons in leading a horse safely, understanding their needs, and gaining knowledge about equine equipment and care essentials. As you work alongside our expert team, you’ll gain confidence, learn new skills, and develop a deeper appreciation for the bond between humans and horses.

Nature Hikes

Explore the great outdoors with acres of pristine landscape, Equi-Ed offers an abundance of scenic trails waiting to be explored. Accompanied by a counselor and equipped with a first aid kit, campers embark on thrilling adventures into the hills, encountering the rich wildlife of Equi-Ed along the way.

Cancellation & Payment Policy

To reserve a spot, a $50 non-refundable deposit per child, per session is required. This helps us plan staffing, horses, and supplies and ensures each camper’s place is held.

The remaining balance and required paperwork are due on your child’s first day of camp. For safety and administrative reasons, campers are not able to participate without completed paperwork and payment.

If a session is canceled by Equi-Ed, all payments beyond the $50 deposit will be fully refunded.

If you need to cancel your registration, please note:

  • The $50 deposit is non-refundable.

  • Cancellations made on or before the Thursday prior to the session start date are eligible for a refund of the remaining balance (excluding the deposit).

  • Cancellations made starting the Friday before the session begins are not eligible for a refund.

Once a camper has arrived at the barn on the first day, we’re unable to offer refunds if they leave early for any reason, including illness, homesickness, dismissal, or voluntary withdrawal.

We understand plans can change. Session dates or program changes may be accommodated if space is available, and we’re always happy to talk through options when possible.

If you have questions or special circumstances you’d like to discuss, please reach out — we’re glad to help.
